Savahleetah McGee, best known as “Leetah” is a Brooklyn, New York native who was partially raised in Detroit but now settles in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Leetah is a passionate creative who produces, styles, consults, and creative directs. She currently stands as a creative director, producer, and creative strategist with over 10 years of experience in the fashion, beauty, and wellness industries. Creativity runs in Leetah’s blood, as she was taught to sew by her seamstress grandmother at a young age. Her mother, Shawna McGee, a successful fashion designer and illustrator on 7th Avenue.
Leetah attended the Fashion Institute of Technology where she obtained an Associates degree in Fashion Design and a Bachelor's degree in Direct and Interactive Marketing. Throughout Leetah’s career, she has worked for well-known brands such as LANVIN, Escada, Club Monaco, Anthropologie, and Eileen Fisher in creative production and digital marketing. In 2019 Leetah started her own Production and Creative agency named SOMWHR in BKLYN; a safe collaborative space for fellow creatives and emerging brands to work together. It was here where Leetah was able to build her passion for creative direction, styling, producing. She has styled celebrities such as actress and philanthropist Erika Alexander and political writer and commentator Lola Adesiyoe. In 2017 Leetah saw the need for high-quality fashion to make its way into the homes of those who need it most. Leetah Co-Founded Well Cloth’d Inc., a non-profit dedicated to providing high-quality clothing and care packages to underserved individuals and families. Well Cloth’d was highlighted by The Cut Magazine’s Community Heroes.
At her core, Leetah is an innovative visionary with a heart of gold. Both her creativity and her ability is limitless as she continues to evolve her brand.
